This clip was filmed in my hometown of jdeidet marjeyoun, a place that holds many memories for me. Being the youngest of nine children, with an eight year gap between me and my youngest brother. Growing in such a big family gave me a unique perspective and shaped much of who I am today.

Lebanon lives in my heart no matter where I am in the world. These days it it impossible not to think of the land that raised us, especially the south of Lebanon where my roots lie. A place of olive trees, warm kitchens, and deep family ties is once again carrying the weight of war. Watching the villages, the fields, and the people endure so much is heartbreaking. Yet what I hold onto is the same resilience that has always defined Lebanon—a quiet strength, s stubborn love of life, and a belief that even after the darkest nights, our land will bloom again. Every jar of Labneh, every dish I make tells a story of the land, these recipes and traditions, I carry a small piece of that land forward—a reminder of its’ beauty, it’s resilience, and the hope that one day peace will return to the fields and homes of the south.
